Stanford Law, class of 1969. Practiced criminal defense before becoming one among the first, certified family law specialists in California in 1980. Served two terms as chair of local NOW chapter; ran an impressive campaign for State Assembly; served 3 terms on the Santa Clara County Democratic Central Committee. Spearheaded the San Jose Coalition for Family Justice in 1992. Became certified appellate law specialist in 2004. Now focuses her legal practice on appeals and particularly complex custody cases, especially those which involve psychological evaluations and abuse. Current chair of the advisory board of the National Coalition for Family Justice. Enjoys public speaking and organizing.
