Robert G. Stahl, founder of Law Offices of Robert G. Stahl, LLC, has been an attorney since 1989. Since that time, he has represented clients in complex criminal, civil and matrimonial matters, both at trial and on appeal, and matters before the NASD and SEC. Mr. Stahl has defended numerous clients and corporations charged with health care fraud and securities fraud. Mr. Stahl spends approximately seventy-five percent of his time defending individuals and corporations charged with federal and state violations. Mr. Stahl's list of clients includes individuals, government officials and corporations located in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Florida and the former U.S.S.R. The Firm is "AV" rated by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating given for legal ability and professional ethics. Mr. Stahl has an extensive background in criminal investigations and trials. He was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of New Jersey for over six years and specialized in complex white-collar crime, tax investigations and organized crime investigations. As an Assistant U.S. Attorney, Mr. Stahl successfully prosecuted multi-defendant, complex fraud cases that lasted as long as nine months, including the largest excise tax fraud case in the history of the United States. During his tenure, Mr. Stahl received two of the highest national awards given by the Department of Justice and the United States Attorney General for his outstanding trial skills. Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney's Office, Mr. Stahl was a law clerk for Federal District Court Judge John W. Bissell for two years. Mr. Stahl graduated magna cum laude from Seton Hall Law School. Mr. Stahl regularly appears in federal and state courts throughout New Jersey and federal courts in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida. Mr. Stahl is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey, the District of New Jersey, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Stahl belongs to the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Federal Bar Association, the Union County Bar Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
