Hon. Mark
Epstein
Judge Mark. B. Epstein earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from
Yeshiva University in 1966 and a Juris Doctorate from Rutgers
University School of Law in 1969. He is admitted to practice before
the Supreme Court of New Jersey, the US District Court, the US
Supreme Court and the US Tax Court. Judge Epstein was appointed
to the New Jersey Superior Court in 1983 and was assigned to the
Family Part. He became the presiding judge of the Family Part
in 1985 and served in that capacity until 1993 when he was assigned
to the Civil Part. In March 2005, he was assigned to the Chancery
Division where he remained until his retirement in June 2005.
Judge Epstein has presided over thousands of matters ranging from
every type of family law case to complex environmental coverage
litigation. He is a member of the Middlesex County Bar Association
and served as a Member of the Board of Directors of the YMHA of
Raritan Valley where he was Vice President for four years and
was awarded the Community Service Award for his involvement in
the United Way of Central New Jersey. Currently, Judge Epstein
is Of Counsel to the law firm Hoagland, Longo, Moran, Dunst and
Doukas where he limits his practice to arbitration, mediation
and serving as a special discovery master. Judge Epstein resides
in Edison, New Jersey with his wife Mira, an artist.
